by Alison Eden on 24/01/2017Whilst the website service and ordering process were excellent, the delivery side of things was not good. I live in Italy and this order was being delivered to my brother and sister in law's address in Ruabon, Wrexham. I received an e-mail from yodel saying they had tried to deliver my parcel and had left it in the back porch as no-one was in. I contacted my brother in law straight away and he said he had been in all day, there had been no delivery and no card left. I rang the number on the e-mail (supposed to be the delivery person) and this just rang out. I then went on to the yodel on line chat. A guy called Ryan said he would look into it with the depot and I would get an e-mail response within 24 to 48 hours. As I was typing a response to Ryan he disconnected the chat. I received an e-mail the following day saying that they had interviewed the driver and he had left it at the correct address but now saying on top of the recycling bin rather than in the back porch as originally stated. They also said that if this wasn't the case and I hadn't received the parcel all they could suggest was that I contacted you - which just felt like they were washing their hands of me and not taking any ownership for their mistake. I had specifically put on my order instructions to ensure that they delivered to 2 Cinders FARM and not 2 Cinders COTTAGES as parcels had gone astray before. In the meantime my brother in law walked round to 2 Cinders Cottages and found my parcel on the floor outside the house - not on top of a recycling bin or a porch and certainly not in a safe place. I have also completed a customer review service for Yodel and said the same thing. From this experience and other things I have heard/read about Yodel I could not recommend them.Cleopet response : We are very sorry that you experienced problems with your delivery.
